NEWS AND PRAYER UPDATE
This is the RENEWED Ministries update for 14 December 2023, as provided by Reverend Courtney Richards.
Hello friends and prayer partners. As we celebrate this Christmas/Advent season, may I wish for you and all your loved ones, God’s very best and choicest gifts. May your lives remain focused on God and His great gift of love to us in Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.
I wish to thank you all for your love, prayers, encouragement, concerns and support for RENEWED Ministries and for me. God has used you in our lives in powerful ways and we are so grateful for each of you. I thank God continually for you and your place in my life and our ministry.
This has been one of my most travelled years and most exhausting. Yet, it has been very impactful and transformative. We glorify Him who has called us into the harvest field of making disciples The Jesus Way for His Kingdom and glory. The ministry in Africa and in Nepal continues to grow exponentially and we witnessed it with our own eyes. Thousands of lives have been changed by the gospel of Jesus, by relational disciple-making, by the love of God and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Disciple-making groups have been started in 14 countries in Africa and counting! Our sports ministry which focuses on reaching youth, especially unreached young men, is growing fast. Cultural practices and traditions are being challenged with the transforming power of God’s Kingdom culture. Our Vision25, which focuses on 25 countries in East Central and Southern Africa is being transformed into Vision54 as God is opening doors all over Africa for us to mentor and train pastors, leaders and just ordinary people how to make disciples, The Jesus Way. Our young leaders in Africa have caught the vision and are moving us to focus on all 54 countries of the African continent. WHAT A CHALLENGE! WHAT OPEN DOORS!!
To meet the challenge, we need YOU! We need your prayers and financial support. At this Christmas/Advent season, we graciously ask you to continue praying for us and to give GENEROUSLY to our ministry to help us realize our budget for 2024. Our overall budget for 2024 is over $100,000 US dollars! More than half of this goes directly into training pastors and leaders in making disciples The Jesus Way in Africa.
We are very busy working on the planning, organizing and mobilizing of key persons in 6 new African countries for next year – to be challenged, equipped and trained in making disciples, The Jesus Way. These countries are Ethiopia, South Sudan, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana. Our leadership teams have been formed and we are working on all the logistics of hosting the training in each country.
Please help us with a generous gift towards our budget which will help us train hundreds of pastors and leaders in disciple-making, The Jesus Way, especially in Africa.
