NEWS AND PRAYER UPDATE – RENEWED MISSIONS 2023

Announcing RENEWED Ministries 2023 Missions!

Dear friend and prayer partner. Greetings in the name of our living Lord Jesus Christ. Thanks for your partnership with us in RENEWED Ministries for the past 25 years and now in our 26th year of ministry. GOD HAS BEEN VERY GOOD TO US.

God continues to use us to expand His Kingdom here on earth in an increasing number of countries, especially in Africa. And so, I wish to use this opportunity to announce that our Missions 2023 have been approved by our Board. We are scheduled to be in Nepal, Tanzania and Zanzibar, Uganda, Rwanda (with leaders also coming from The Democratic Republic of the Congo – DRC – and Burundi), Malawi, and South Africa. Also, we are working on sending preparatory teams from among our African team leaders to meet with pastors and leaders in Ethiopia, Zambia, and Mozambique during the year as we prepare for training conferences and other ministries in 2024 and beyond.

We are engaged in all of these ministries as we continue to fulfill Vision25 –  reaching and expanding in at least 25 African countries by 2025 in Discipleship ‘The Jesus Way’; leadership training; youth and sports ministry training (to expand our ministry in reaching children and youth in difficult and sometimes hostile environments) and helping our leaders to engage in strategic planning for disciple-making. We focus too, on the ancient paths of cultural traditions, customs, beliefs, and practices that conflict with the Christ-culture that we are called to follow and live out daily. For, following Jesus presents us with a radical COUNTER-CULTURE TO THAT WHICH WE ARE USED TO!

Our budget, which like everything else is being impacted by rising inflation and cost of living increases, is OVER $70,000 (US). This is likely to be revised upward in the New Year. We NEED, therefore, for you to THINK and PRAY and GIVE GENEROUSLY to the expanding work that God has called us to. You are central to us fulfilling God’s call on our lives to make disciples of the nations – The Jesus Way!

Please begin to pray for our teams in all the countries named above. Pray also for those of us who will travel to Nepal and Africa to train those pastors and leaders who have caught the vision to follow Jesus, make and multiply disciples for the glory of God and train others to do so. And please prayerfully consider how much you can give to meet our budget so we can faithfully serve those who God has called us to.
