RENEWED Ministries Update

RENEWED Update – 23 November 2020

This RENEWED update for 23 November 2020 was provided by Reverend Courtney Richards.

But, “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.” For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.

Greetings and sanitation (our new COVID-19 greetings????) my friends and prayer partners. On this Thanksgiving week in the USA, I am reminded of the words of the Psalmist in Psalm 107 verse 1 and Psalm 100 verses 4 and 5:

Give thanks to the Lord , for he is good; his love endures forever.

Psalm 107:1 (NIV)

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.  For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Psalm 100:4-5 (NIV)

God continues to be immensely good to us in RENEWED Ministries and to use us in various ways to help many people in several countries of the world despite the coronavirus pandemic. We’ve been engaged in teaching and discipling and coaching, mentoring and counseling online, by phone and in person and we have been able to help hundreds of persons in Africa and some in Asia with finances for food and other personal expenses during this very difficult time. What an amazing, loving, kind, gracious and generous God. Hallelujah! We are exceedingly grateful and thankful to Him. And we are thankful to you for your constant prayers, encouragement and financial gifts and support to RENEWED Ministries to help us help others for the glory of God. Thanks!

Next year, 2021, will mark the 25th year of ministry for RENEWED Ministries. From small beginnings with my return from the USA back home to Jamaica and joined a few months later by Robby and Jeanie Prenkert from Wakarusa, Indiana, USA, backed up a by a devoted, godly, kind and generous RENEWED Ministries Board in Mishawaka, Indiana and a host of prayer partners and financial donors, individuals and churches, RENEWED Ministries has been used by God to minister all over the world. We have seen expansion of the ministry of disciple making, leadership training, mentoring training, men’s and women’s ministry and mentoring and coaching young leaders expand beyond our greatest expectations. Thousands of lives have been impacted and transformed for the Kingdom of God and we want to spend time next year celebrating the goodness and greatness of God in our lives.

You will hear more about this in the New Year but we hope to have a BIG celebration in Mishawaka, Indiana, where it all began, in September as well as in several countries where we now have ministry. Each celebration will have it’s own local flavour planned by those who are there and who have been impacted and changed by the gospel of the Kingdom of God. More to come on this at a later time!

In 2021, we will not only celebrate what God has done but we will be expanding our ministry in anticipation of what He desires to do in and through us and our various teams especially in Africa! My sons and daughters and their teams in Kenya and Uganda have been used by God to do marvellous things for His Kingdom and glory and their ministries have already been enlarged to other countries in East and Southern Africa: South Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Malawi, Zanzibar and among refugees from Ethiopia, Eritrea and Somalia who are living in Nairobi, Kenya and Kampala, Uganda.

We plan to bring the key leaders from these countries and communities to Kenya and Uganda in July to get to know them and to listen to and help expand their vision. We will pray with them, do some leadership training but especially help them do some strategic planning for ministry expansion in their country or other countries in Africa as God will, we believe, reveal to them!

In addition, we will have the postponed discipleship training for 200 pastors and leaders and children’s and youth outreach to hundreds of children and youth that was planned for Cape Town and Paarl areas of South Africa for this year but didn’t happen due to the coronavirus. We expect and believe these ministries to happen in May and June next year! More information on this to come soon!

WHAT AN EXCITING TIME AHEAD! WE NEED YOUR PRAYERS! Begin to pray now for all the plans and arrangements and pray that the coronavirus will not stop these ministries and that safe vaccines will be available to help us and those we minister to with the related health challenges and issues.

WE NEED YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT.  Our budget for Africa missions 2021 is US$38,600! But we have been good stewards of what God has given to us this year even with the challenges. So we have, in hand, $11,000 from this year’s budget. So, we must raise $27,600 by April next year to realize our budget for the missions I described above!

Please prayerfully (and I do mean prayerfully) ask God how much you should contribute to these VITAL and GROWING missions outreach in Africa. If you don’t have the money or know where it will come from, ask God to give it to you BY FAITH. Make a FAITH PROMISE and trust God to give it to you. We are convinced of God’s gracious provision and we have NEVER lacked anything for the missions we have been involved in all these near 25 years so we are trusting God now and always.

You can send you gifts or donations via check/cheque to: RENEWED Ministries, P.O. Box 1229, Mishawaka, Indiana, USA 46546. You can also donate via PayPal on our website at: Click on “donate” and follow the instructions. Thanks very, very much for your prayers and gifts to RENEWED Ministries and all those who we serve!

I am excited and extremely blessed by God to serve the cause of building up His Kingdom in this generation. I am also blessed to have you as a partner, friend and team member in that cause. To God be the glory, great thing He has done and continues to do!

Coram Deo!

Always in God’s grip,
