Children’s Church

We have Children’s Church every Saturday at 3:00 PM via ZOOM. So you may contact Sisters Michelle Dinald or Carol Blake for the Link. You may also contact the Church Office.

Youth Ministries Meeting

The Youth Department meets every Friday at 7:30 pm via ZOOM. So please contact Sister Dionne Richards for the Link and join us.

Bible Studies

Our Bible Study sessions for August focuses on the theme – “Purpose“. Reverend Richard Beckford leads the study for the month.

Information on how to join these Studies is also provided by email and posted in the various WhatsApp groups. Therefore, please invite family/friends/co-workers to join us each Wednesday. Also, please share the link with everyone.

Sunday Service

Reverend Mark Dawes is our speaker for Communion Sunday, August 1st. Our service starts at 9:00 AM. We also transmit our services live via ZOOM and YouTube.

Condolences

Our condolences to Sister Pearl Derby and her family on the passing of her husband, Elder Milton Derby. He passed on Saturday, July 24, 2021. the Thanksgiving Service takes place here at Grace on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 11:00 AM.

Prayers

Deacon Loy Evans, who is hospitalized in UHWI. We thank God for a successful surgery and pray for healing and full recovery

Update: Sister Nicole Evans’ surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, August 17, 2021. Your continued fervent prayer is needed for the family.

Please also remember to pray for the “Sick and Shut-Ins“, as well as those classified as vulnerable. In addition, remember to stay in touch with each other as we return from isolation and separation.

Issues Relating to Covid-19 Effective July 27 – August 11, 2021

These are updated national measures on Covid-19 under The Disaster Risk Management Act – September 07, 2020.

For Worship Services: – Worship and Memorial services will be permitted with one person per 40 square feet, or 50% of capacity, whichever is lower.

Curfew Updates: – From Monday to Saturday the curfew starts at 8:00 PM and ends at 5:00 AM the following morning. On Sundays and Public Holidays, the curfew commences at 3:00 PM and ends at 5:00 AM the following morning.

For Funerals and Burials:

  • Services will now be allowed with a maximum of thirty (30) mourners.
  • Burials will now be permitted with a maximum of 30 persons (up from 15).
  • Burials may now take place from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Mondays to Fridays Only.

Persons 60 years and older, required to work from home and otherwise, must stay home until August 10th. Fully vaccinated persons are exempt. They are, however, permitted to leave home once per day for medical care, food, exercise and other essentials of life.

Also, please remember to pay very close attention to the periodic updates and advisories issued by the relevant authorities relating to COVID 19.

So please remember to call and pray with one another. Also, keep safe, practice social distancing, wash hands and clean surfaces regularly.

Most importantly, remember to wear your masks, sanitize, and maintain the 6 feet physical distance. Also, let us keep in touch and encourage each other, especially during these very challenging times.
