Prayer Meeting and Bible Studies:

On Wednesdays, we meet in the Sanctuary for our weekly midday Bible Study at 11:00 AM and, later, our Prayer Meeting session starts at 7:00 PM on ZOOM. The evening Bible Study starts at 8:00 PM and is shared on ZOOM and YouTube.

Youth Meetings

Grace Youth Ministry (GYM) meets each Friday at 7:00 PM in the Sanctuary. Also, Youth In Praise (YIP) and Teens In Praise (TIP) both meet in the Sanctuary on Saturdays at 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM respectively.

Sunday School Activities

Sunday School classes for all age groups take place from 8:00 AM – 8:55 AM. This is immediately before Worship Services.

Special Note:
  • On Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 8:00 a.m. Pastor Mark Dawes will lead a Workshop on Personal Evangelism with the Adult Sunday School Class. All are invited and we hope you will plan to be a part of this exciting session. Let us prepare for intentional outreach to those around us.
  • Arrangements are being made for a second cohort of the Freedom in Christ Adult Sunday School series to commence. You have been hearing testimonies of how God has been working in persons’ lives through the teachings. Please be in prayer and indicate interest in participating to Sister Darlene Jones, Sunday School Superintendent or the Church office. A warm welcome awaits you.

Sunday Service

Our Worship Services continue in a face-to-face format from the Sanctuary each Sunday at 9:00 AM. It is shared via ZOOM and live-streamed on our YouTube Channel. Our speaker for this Sunday is Reverend Michael Smellie.

We welcome your feedback regarding our Bible Studies and Sunday Services. Your comments will help us to grow and serve you better. So call or email the office or any of the Elders or Deacons, or email us via our website using our contact page. In addition, you may complete an online survey on our Polls page. We greatly appreciate your feedback.

Membership and Baptism

We ask anyone desirous of Baptism or Membership, please indicate your interest to the Church Office, or speak directly with Reverend Mark Dawes.

GMC Connect Card

The GMC Connect Card is available on our Membership Page and from our Team of Ushers. We invite you to complete and submit the card to help us to get to know you better. This will help us to provide the spiritual support you may need from time to time.

Members’ Milestone Recognition

The Membership Department wants to recognize and celebrate with our members who have upcoming Milestone Birthdays or Wedding Anniversaries. If you have one such special event, please share it with Sister Dawn Ashley- the Social Support Officer or a member of the Church Office Team.

Other Announcements

The Funeral Service for Captain Blake James Roper, late grandson of Elder Donald and Sister Jennifer Blake will take place at 10:00 am on Friday, June 23, 2023, at the National Arena.

The Funeral Service for Mr Chester Henry, the late brother of Sisters Grace McKenzie and Shevon Letang, is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the Walkerswood Methodist Church in St. Ann.

The Funeral Service for Mrs Donna-Marie Harris, the late sister of Brother Desmond Bennett, is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 26, 2023, here at Grace Missionary Church.

We continue to offer support through our prayers and words of encouragement to our members and adherents who have recently lost loved ones. May the peace and comfort of our Lord be yours.

We also remember our brethren who are not well or are recuperating, at this time. Let us keep surrounding them with our prayers and words of encouragement:

GMC’s Worship Music & Creative Arts Department celebrates Music Month in June under the theme Magnify the Lord”. Several activities to bring glory to God have been planned and we hope you will join us in this special season of Praise, Worship and the Word.

✓ Wednesday Night Prayer and Bible Study: Biblical Perspectives on Worship with Pastor Mark Dawes.
✓ Fathers’ Day – June 18, 2023

Grace Missionary Church will host a benefit night of the University Singers 2023 Season of Concert on June 24, 2023, at 7:30 pm at The Phillip Sherlock Centre, UWI. Tickets are now available, for $3,000 each, from the Church Office as well as from members of the Worship & Music Department. Please encourage your families and friends to come and enjoy a great evening of good music while helping to support our Ministries.

National Evangelism & Missions Department presents:

National Missionary Youth Ministries Summer Camps 2023: July 15 – August 19, 2023. Plan to be there for the first full week of residential camps since 2019!

Wycliffe Caribbean Events

Wycliffe Caribbean celebrates 30 years of ministry in the work of Bible Translation. The following special Anniversary events are coming up, and your participation is invited:

✓ 30th Anniversary Church Service– Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Mona Baptist Church – 9:00 a.m.
✓ 30th Anniversary Pastors’ & Church Leaders’ Breakfast on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 8:00 a.m. at The Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel. Tickets are available from the Head Office at 7-7a South Avenue, Kingston 5 or online via www.spurropen.com/wb30th for J$5,000.

Prayers

Please continue to pray for God’s healing touch for our members who are at this time recuperating. Also, please remember to pray for the “Sick and Shut-Ins“, as well as those classified as vulnerable. In addition, remember to stay in touch with each other during our time of isolation and separation.

Resumption of Church Activities

We continue to observe the following protocols for your safety and comfort when we meet:

  1. Hand Washing and Sanitization.
  2. Mask Wearing in enclosed spaces (highly recommended, but not mandated).
  3. Maintaining Physical distance (highly recommended, but not mandated).
  4. Remaining at home if you are feeling unwell.

Also, please remember to pay very close attention to the periodic updates and advisories issued by the Health Authorities.

Please remember to call and pray with one another. Also, keep safe, practice social distancing, wash hands, and clean surfaces regularly.

In addition, remember to wear your masks, sanitize, and maintain 6 feet physical distance. Also, let us keep in touch and encourage each other, especially during these very challenging times.
