Prayer Meeting and Bible Studies

We meet for our weekly Prayer Meeting session every Wednesday starting at 7:00 PM on ZOOM. This is followed by our Bible Study at 8:00 PM on ZOOM and YouTube. The presenter will be our own Reverend Mark Dawes and he continues the focus on “Creation“.

Grace Youth Ministries (GYM) Meeting

The Youth Department meets each Friday at 7:30 PM via ZOOM. So please contact Sister Dionne Richards for the Link and join us.

Sunday School

In-person Sunday School classes for all age groups take place from 8:00 AM – 8:55 AM.
(However, Covid containment protocols will be observed- Wearing of masks, Sanitization)

Prayer, Praise and Testimonies

We have “Prayer, Praise and Testimonies” sessions on the last Sunday of each month @ 7:00 PM via ZOOM. Please join us for a time of fellowship and Spiritual renewal on the platform.

Sunday Service

We transmit our Worship Services from the Sanctuary each Sunday at 9:00 AM via ZOOM and stream on our YouTube Channel. The Speaker for this Sunday is Reverend Mark Dawes.

We welcome your feedback regarding our Bible Studies and Sunday Services. Your comments will help us to grow and serve you better. So call or email the office or any of the Elders or Deacons. You may also email us via our website at webmaster@gmc-mca.org. We greatly appreciate your feedback.

Membership and Baptism

We ask anyone desirous of Baptism or Membership, please indicate your interest to the Church Office or speak directly with Reverend Mark Dawes.

GMC Connect Card

The GMC Connect Card is available on our Membership Page and from members of our Team of Ushers. We invite you to complete and submit the card to help us to get to know you better. This will help us to provide the spiritual support you may need from time to time.

Other Announcements

The Funeral service for our brother Desmond Bennett’s mother is scheduled for August 13, 2022, at Bethel Baptist Church. Let us continue to pray for the Bennetts during this time.

A number of members of our Church family have experienced recent losses in their families and are in need of our prayers for God’s strength, comfort, and peace at this time. Funeral arrangements will be shared when available:

  • Brother Astley Hall’s brother died on June 25, 2022.
  • Brother Desmond Bennett’s mother passed on July 5, 2022.
  • Deacon Thelora Reynolds lost a brother-in-law in the United States.
  • Elder Donald Blake’s daughter Tricia has lost her father-in-law in the UK.
  • Sister Hilma Watson lost her mother, uncle, and cousin recently.

So let us encourage and pray for our brethren as they work through their grief and loss even now.

Reports from our brethren who are hospitalized or recovering from surgery, are encouraging and we will keep surrounding them with our prayers:

The Mamby Park Baptist Church, 161A Constant Spring Road, has invited GMC’s support for their nightly Evangelistic Crusade services. These are Monday-Friday during the period July 17-31, 2022 at the Constant Spring Primary & Infant School, Cassava Piece Road, Kingston 8.

Sis Anneisha Walker leaves us this weekend for Americus, Georgia, in the United States where she will pursue further studies for the next three years. Let us pray for God’s protection and provision for our sister as she goes.

The MCAJ invites the participation and support of Grace Missionary Church in the following events.

Additional information will be provided as the dates approach. So please continue to pray for the success of these ministry initiatives.

MCAJ Summer Camps in the usual format have been suspended for this year. There are plans for two weekend camps during October and November 2022. Further information will follow.

Prayers

Please continue to pray for God’s healing touch for our members who are at this time recuperating. Also, please remember to pray for the “Sick and Shut-Ins“, as well as those classified as vulnerable. In addition, remember to stay in touch with each other during our time of isolation and separation.

Resumption of Church Activities

With the rescinding of the DRMA COVID-19 Containment Measures, plans are being made for a gradual resumption of other ministry activities in ‘face-to-face’ mode’. These will be guided by the Enforcement Measures under the Public Health Act. We will provide additional details as soon as we finalize the arrangements.

We continue to observe the following protocols for your safety and comfort:

  1. Hand Washing and Sanitization.
  2. Mask Wearing in enclosed spaces (highly recommended, but not mandated).
  3. Maintaining Physical distance (highly recommended, but not mandated).
  4. Remaining at home if you are feeling unwell.

Also, please remember to pay very close attention to the periodic updates and advisories issued by the Health Authorities.

Please remember to call and pray with one another. Also, keep safe, practice social distancing, wash hands, and clean surfaces regularly.

In addition, remember to wear your masks, sanitize, and maintain 6 feet physical distance. Also, let us keep in touch and encourage each other, especially during these very challenging times.
