The Membership Department is reminding everyone of our Benevolence Drive for Christmas 2022. As usual, we are reaching out to you for your donations of non-perishable items, to be delivered to the Church Office. The deadline for delivery of the donations is December 15, 2022. Christmas baskets will be prepared for distribution to our vulnerable members and adherents.
It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of our dear Sister Ivel Barrett, a longstanding member of GMC. She went home to the Lord on Monday, November 21, 2022, after a period of illness. Final arrangements are being made and will be announced in due course.
The funeral service for Mr. Herman Williams, brother of Sister Catherine Barclay-James is scheduled for December 3, 2022, in St. Thomas. Further details will be provided at a later date.
Additional members of our Church Family have recently lost loved ones, and we continue to support their families with our prayers and words of encouragement:
- Sister Dawn Ashley has lost her father.
- Sister Sonia Beaton-Bogle has lost her brother.
Funeral Arrangements will be shared when they become available.
Remember our brethren who are not well, or are recuperating, at this time. Let us keep surrounding them with our prayers and words of encouragement:
- Reverend Garnett Roper
- Sister Evadne McLean
- Yvonne Wright (University Hospital)
GMC Church Family members who do not have a Birth Certificate are invited to contact Sister Dawn Ashley, our Social Support Officer, through the Church Office. The Membership Department will be reaching out to the Registrar General’s Department (RGD) to determine the best way of helping our congregants to acquire this most important document.
