Children’s Church

Children’s Church is on Saturdays at 3:00 PM via ZOOM. Please contact Sisters Michelle Dinald or Carol Blake for the Link. You may also contact the Church Office.

Youth Ministries Meeting

The Youth Department meets each Friday at 7:30 pm via ZOOM. So please contact Sister Dionne Richards for the Link and join us.

Prayer Meeting and Bible Studies

Our weekly Prayer Meeting session every Wednesday starts at 7:00 PM on ZOOM and our Bible Study session follows at 8:00 PM on ZOOM and YouTube. The first hour is reserved for our prayer session on ZOOM. This week we discuss “The Ninth Commandment”.

Prayer, Praise and Testimonies

We have “Prayer, Praise and Testimonies” sessions on the last Sunday of each month @ 7:00 pm via ZOOM. Please join us for a time of fellowship and Spiritual renewal on the platform.

Sunday Service

We transmit our Worship Services from the Sanctuary each Sunday at 9:00 a.m. via ZOOM and our YouTube Channel. The speaker for this Communion Sunday is our Reverend Mark Dawes.

Also, if anyone is desirous of Baptism or Membership, please indicate your interest to the Church Office or speak directly with Reverend Dawes.

We welcome your feedback regarding our Bible Studies and Sunday Services. Your comments will help us to grow and serve you better. So call or email the office or any of the Elders or Deacons. You may also email us via our website at webmaster@gmc-mca.org. We greatly appreciate your feedback.

Resumption of Church Activities

With the rescinding of the DRMA COVID-19 Containment Measures, plans are being made for a gradual resumption of other ministry activities in ‘face to face’ mode’, These will be guided by the Enforcement Measures under the Public Health Act. We will provide additional details as soon as we finalize the arrangements.

Other Announcements

The GMC Connect Card is now available on our Membership Page and from members of our Team of Ushers. We invite you to complete and submit the card to help us to get to know you better. This will help us to provide the spiritual support you may need from time to time.

The Jamaica Autism Support Association joins us in worship today as they observe World Autism Awareness Month – April 2022. We welcome the Team, including those participating on our online platforms. We also pray God’s blessing and guidance in all their endeavours.

Also, the Thanksgiving Service for the life of our brother Roosevelt Thompson will be held on April 7, 2022 at 11:00 am, in the GMC Sanctuary. Please continue to prayerfully support his family during their time of bereavement.

In addition, Mr. Devon Brown (brother of Sis. Catherine James) is currently a patient at the Princess Margaret Hospital in St. Thomas. He is in need of our prayers at this time. Let us be praying for the family as well.

The Eastern Area 2 Women’s Ministry will host a Morning of Prayer on April 16, 2022 @ 9:00 am at GMC. This will also be shared on The MCAJ YouTube Channel. Additional details will be provided at a later date.

The Missionary Church Association in Jamaica has several events planned.

  • Annual Conference – April 19 to 21, 2022 starting at 9:00 am each day.
  • 72nd Annual Convention -Sunday April 24, 2022 also starting at 9:00 am.

At this time, these events are expected to be virtual. The links will be circulated later. 

Finally, The MCAJ invites the participation and support of Grace Missionary Church, in the weekend Crusades and Online Weeks of Prayer as detailed below.

Prayers

Please continue to pray for God’s healing touch for our members who are at this time recuperating. Also, please remember to pray for the “Sick and Shut-Ins“, as well as those classified as vulnerable. In addition, remember to stay in touch with each other during our time of isolation and separation.

Covid-19 Update

The COVID-19 virus containment measures are now governed by the Public Health Act Regulations, effective March 18, 2022. The recommended protocols are:

  1. Hand Washing and Sanitization.
  2. Mask Wearing in enclosed spaces (highly recommended, but not mandated).
  3. Maintaining Physical distance (highly recommended, but not mandated).
  4. Remaining at home if you are feeling unwell.

Also, please remember to pay very close attention to the periodic updates and advisories issued by the relevant authorities relating to COVID 19.

Please remember to call and pray with one another. Also, keep safe, practice social distancing, wash hands, and clean surfaces regularly.

In addition, remember to wear your masks, sanitize, and maintain 6 feet physical distance. Also, let us keep in touch and encourage each other, especially during these very challenging times.
