Prayer and Bible Studies:

  • Wednesday midday Bible Studies will resume on January 3, 2024.
  • Wednesday evening Prayer Meeting session starts at 7:00 p.m. on ZOOM. The evening Bible Study begins at 8:00 p.m. and is shared on ZOOM and YouTube. These studies will also resume on January 3, 2024.
  • The Tuesday Morning 5:00 am Online Prayer Meetings will resume on a date to be announced. The Zoom link will be shared when available.
  • Weekly Thursday Morning Prayer at 10:00 a.m. The GMC Sanctuary will remain open until 4:00 p.m. each Thursday for those who wish to pray there.
  • GMC’s Annual Week of Prayer 2024 is scheduled for January 7-13, 2024. Let us prepare ourselves for this first Prayer Event of the New Year.
    • ✓ We will meet online each evening at 7:00 pm, starting Sunday, January 7, 2023, for prayer. Prayer Focus on Forgiveness, Love and Restoration.
    • ✓ A different Department or Auxiliary will host each evening’s meeting. The Zoom Link for the meetings will be circulated in due course.
    • ✓ The week’s activities will culminate with an “in-person” Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, January 13, 2024. Further details will be provided.

Youth Meetings

Grace Youth Ministry (GYM) meets each Friday at @7:00 p.m. These will resume in January 2024.
Youth In Praise (YIP) meets on Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. and Teens In Praise (TIP) meets on Saturdays at 2:30 p.m. These meetings will also resume in January 2024.

Sunday School Activities

Sunday School classes for all age groups meet from 8:00 a.m. to 8:55 a.m. each Sunday. These will resume on January 14, 2024.

Sunday Service

Our Worship Services continue in a face-to-face format from the Sanctuary each Sunday at 9:00 a.m. It is shared via ZOOM and live-streamed on our YouTube Channel. Our speaker for this Sunday is Reverend Mark Dawes, and for Watch Night Service, Reverend Errol Rattray.

We welcome your feedback regarding our Bible Studies and Sunday Services. Your comments will help us to grow and serve you better. So call or email the office or any of the Elders or Deacons, or email us via our website using our contact page. In addition, you may complete an online survey on our Polls page. We greatly appreciate your feedback.

Membership and Baptism

We ask anyone desirous of Baptism or Membership, please indicate your interest to the Church Office, or speak directly with Reverend Mark Dawes.

GMC Connect Card

The GMC Connect Card is available on our Membership Page and from our Team of Ushers. We invite you to complete and submit the card to help us to get to know you better. This will help us to provide the spiritual support you may need from time to time.

Members’ Milestone Recognition

The Membership Department wants to recognize and celebrate with our members with upcoming Milestone Birthdays or Wedding Anniversaries. If you have one such special event, please share it with Sister Dawn Ashley- the Social Support Officer or a member of the Church Office Team.

Church Photo Directory

Efforts continue to develop a Church Photo Directory here at GMC, to help our members recognize and get to know each other. This is a part of our drive to facilitate caring relationships within our fellowship. For those who wish to participate, we ask that you kindly email to the Church Office, a recent photo ( a selfie will also work), that represents you. GMC’s email address is gracemis@cwjamaica .com. Those without electronic access may send or hand deliver photos to the Church Office Team.

Other Announcements

We continue to offer support through our prayers and words of encouragement to our members and adherents who have recently lost loved ones. May the peace and comfort of our Lord be yours.

GMC announces with deep sadness the passing of our Brother Raymond Daly, last Thursday. Our prayers for God’s divine comfort and peace are with his dear wife, Sister Marcia Daly, and the rest of the family.

Sister Donna Ford, who resides in the United States, is grieving the loss of her mother Mrs. Barbara Brown (Jamaica). She passed away on Thursday, December 27th as well.

Sister Angella Leigh mourns the loss of her mother who died on December 14, 2023.

Elder Paul Simpson’s niece, Joan Powell, also died recently.

Remember our brethren who are not well or are recuperating, at this time. Let us keep surrounding them with our prayers and words of encouragement:

The Book Table, managed by Sister Marcia Leair, is located by the Church Office. The 2024 Daily Bread Devotional, Back To The Bible Scripture Calendar, as well as Inspirational Journals and Books are available. Do remember to visit and support!

GMC Year End Event:

Join us tonight at 9:30 pm for our Annual Watchnight Service, when we will give thanks to God for His grace during 2024. Three (3) candidates are expected to be baptized during the service.

The Greater Grants Pen Ministers Fraternal meets for prayer on the 1st Monday of each month. All Christians of member churches of the fraternal are invited to pray for revival in the communities served by the fraternal.


Please continue to pray for God’s healing touch for our members who are at this time recuperating. Also, please remember to pray for the “Sick and Shut-Ins” and those classified as vulnerable. In addition, remember to stay in touch with each other during our time of isolation and separation.

Resumption of Church Activities

We continue to observe the following protocols for your safety and comfort when we meet:

  1. Hand Washing and Sanitization.
  2. Mask Wearing in enclosed spaces (highly recommended, but not mandated).
  3. Maintaining Physical distance (highly recommended, but not mandated).
  4. Remaining at home if you are feeling unwell.

Also, please remember to pay very close attention to the periodic updates and advisories issued by the Health Authorities.

Please remember to call and pray with one another. Also, keep safe, practice social distancing, wash hands, and clean surfaces regularly.

In addition, remember to wear your masks, sanitize, and maintain 6 feet physical distance. Also, let us keep in touch and encourage each other, especially during these very challenging times.
