Our verse for today is:

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Dear friends and prayer partners. Our ministry here in Uganda ended on Thursday.  RENEWED Ministries Africa Missions 2019 has been a resounding success, and It was simply awesome.  The men, women and youth we ministered to were engaged and blessed in their sessions and so too the pastors and leaders. People are hungry for the training and we promised to keep coming and helping them as best we can.
Pray for wisdom and guidance from the Lord as we plan future missions. And pray that they practice and pass on what they’ve learned.
Now we are having some days of fun and tours before leaving tomorrow, Monday to our various countries.
Please continue to pray for us for God’s covering and safety.
Thanks and God bless you for your faithful partnership in praying, giving and encouraging!
TO GOD BE THE GLORY GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE.
HALLELUJAH.   👍🏾😃🙏🏾🙏🏾

Hello praying friends,
We’re traveling back to Nairobi in the morning and then to Jinja, Uganda Saturday morning for the last leg of RENEWED Ministries Africa Missions 2019.
Great time with God’s people here in Mombasa/Ukunda area of Kenya teaching and training on critical aspects of discipleship – following Jesus, biblical manhood and womanhood, leadership especially servant leadership, pastoral care, mentoring and disciple making and confronting cultural traditions that don’t align with God’s Word among other things.
Praise God for life changing teaching and learning experiences and people willing to live as Kingdom people. Pray for them as they strive to obey and do what God says to make disciples in a difficult place which is a mostly Muslim population.
And pray for our team for our health and safety and God’s continued covering and anointing as we impart His word.
Thanks and God bless you 👏🏾😁🙏🏾🙏🏾

Wednesday June 12, 2019

Hello friends and prayer partners, Shalom Aleichem! The peace of God be with you and your loved ones. In a deeply troubled world, we really need God’s peace, in added measure!

My three months of missions and ministry here in South Africa draws to a close this Friday, June 14 when I am scheduled to leave with my South African son, Sazi Manzi, to meet up with seven others on our team for Missions Kenya and Uganda 2019.

We are nine in total from six different countries and some of us have dual citizenship or residency in 2 countries. What a God!!!

I thank God for our three teams that have served alongside me these past three months here in South Africa. And I thank God for the many hundreds and indeed thousands of lives that have been ministered to in churches, schools, townships / inner city areas, in hospitals, homeless shelters, in street witnessing, in women’s and men’s conferences as well as couple’s ministry. We have ministered at a youth retreat and in sports ministry and ministry helping with racial reconciliation and to abused women and others as well. We have trained counselors, social workers, pastors and lay people. We have seen dozens of young people surrender their lives to Christ and we have baptized 5 of them!

We heard recently from a young ex-gang leader that he is not only serving God, which is the best thing, but he is going to college! What life change!

We have also been busy working on plans, putting a leadership team together and mobilizing pastors, leaders and just regular people who are following Jesus to be trained next year at a major training conference we are working on re discipleship and mentoring training and in leading disciple making movements! What a challenge!

But what a God! He is more than able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we are able to ask, think or imagine. We are looking forward to seeing what God will do in and through us and those we serve here in Africa Missions 2020! Start praying now for that!

And so, we move to the next phase of the journey for RENEWED Ministries Africa Missions 2019: Mission Kenya and Uganda, June 14 to July 8, 2019. Three weeks of extensive ministry in three cities – Nairobi and Ukunda, Kenya and Jinja, Uganda – with two days of focused and concurrent ministry on training men and women on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood and young leaders on discovering God’s purpose for their lives – reaching and impacting their generation for God.  We will then spend the next two to three days after the training of men, women and young leaders, training pastors and leaders and anyone interested on Biblical leadership, spiritual formation, pastoral care and especially on what it means to follow Jesus radically.

Here are some key prayer requests from our brothers and sisters in Kenya and Uganda.

Areas of prayer:
  1. Pray for people to come and safety as we all travel. Some of our team members have already started their travel.
  2. Pray that the training will make great impact on many lives.
  3. Pray that God will raise up transformational leaders from these trainings.

In addition, I’m asking us to pray:

  1. For fresh, powerful and uncommon anointing, grace and favor on all of us – those who teach and those who are being trained.
  2.  For God’s covering as different ones, including myself, have come under the enemy’s attack recently.  We need to stand in the strength and victory that Jesus the Christ has won for us on the cross. Hallelujah.
  3. Finally, pray for our rest and preparation as a team as we go to serve in Kenya and Uganda.

Thanks, as always, for your love, prayers and support. God has raised you up to be a VITAL part of this ministry and I am exceedingly grateful for each of you who partner with us. Please continue to pray and to give!

Hello praying friends. I got word this afternoon that Hari from Nepal has had his ticket itinerary to Nairobi via Dubai changed by the airline FlyDubai to leave Nepal Saturday night instead of Friday night. It’s still being processed so pray that God will give him favor with his flights for him to arrive on Sunday morning.
Also his e-visa to Kenya is still being processed so pastor Joel in Nairobi will check with the immigration department there tomorrow to see what’s the hold up. This too needs God’s grace and favor.
May His sovereign will be done! Amen.
Thanks for your prayers 👏🏾😁🙏🏾🙏🏾

Monday June 10, 2019

Hello prayer partners: urgent prayer is needed for our brother Hari from Nepal for God’s favour to get his online visa for Kenya in the next couple days. It’s been applied for and he’s waiting. He will not be allowed to leave Nepal without it even though he could apply for the visa on arrival. Also, we got a notice last week that the airline – FlyDubai – made a major change to his travel itinerary but despite our efforts calling the airline and the online booking agency we can’t find out what that is. I checked over the weekend again and everything looks as originally booked. It could be an equipment change due to the grounding of the Boeing 737 Max8 which FlyDubai has in their fleet.
PLEASE PRAY FOR GOD’S FAVOUR AND INTERVENTION IN THESE MATTERS FOR HIS GLORY
Thanks 👍🏾😃🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I’ve been busy today ministering to the guys from last week at the shelter for homeless young men who also have drug issues. I bought them pizza and blessed them including their Muslim counselor. He asked to keep in touch. Nice young man.

Ministered  to about 12 to 15 homeless  young men who are on drugs this morning.  Shared my story about growing up without a father and being rejected and had a lot of anger. They have anger issues as most of them have no father in their lives! South Africa has the highest rate of fatherlessness in the world!!😳😢

Gary shared a similar story. We encouraged them to be victors not victims. To change how they think; how they view themselves and their lives even how they view their fathers.  I spoke as a father to them.  They were very attentive. Even their counselor who’s a Muslim was attentive.  I prayed for them. The counselor even said amen too. 😃Nice young man.

We’re planning to go back next week and bring pizzas. Going to surprise them👍🏾😃.

Keep praying.  Thanks🙏🏾🙏🏾

Thanks and God bless you.
Courtney

Thursday May 16, 2019

Gary and I arrived in Durban on Monday afternoon, and my son and daughter, Theo and Nicole Williams from Indiana, arrived on Tuesday evening.

We’ve been busy ever since. This morning we had a very good discussion led by my son, Theo Williams, with some local pastors on the issue of racial reconciliation. I was a proud father seeing how God has worked in my son’s life, and now using him internationally to promote racial healing and reconciliation.

Hallelujah!!!

I have struggled to get enough rest, but thank God the schedule gets lighter next week and beyond. I need the rest.

Please continue to pray for me and the team.

Thanks and God bless you.

Sunday May 12, 2019

Dear friend and prayer partner, greetings in the mighty, loving and gracious name of our Lord Jesus Christ! It is my prayer that you continue to abide and abound in the Lord and that His uncommon favour and the fullness of His Spirit rest mightily upon you in increasing measure!

The team that has been here in South Africa from Guadeloupe and St. Vincent in the Caribbean – Clayton Florent, Earnis Bannis and Gary Bynoe – and I have completed our ministry here in Western Cape and are scheduled to leave tomorrow from Cape Town. Clayton and Earnis leave for home in Guadeloupe and Gary and I fly to Durban for another month of ministry there. Please pray for safe travels and fruitful ministry wherever we go!

It has been a rich time of ministry the past two weeks with many lives transformed for the glory of God. We baptized 5 young people, three of whom are my sons, and seen twenty or more of them commit their lives to following Jesus radically. They have been challenged to reproduce and make disciples for the glory of God! We have met with them to begin the follow up discipleship process but, in truth, they need people here in Paarl/ Mbekweni where they live to disciple them. And so, we are working with some local pastors and others to mentor and disciple them.

Other ministries include speaking to children in schools, engaging in ministry through sports to ex-gang leaders, ministering to children through basketball and other avenues, ministering in hospitals, the homeless shelter, churches and other places. These are all cooperative ministries with the Manyano Centre in Paarl under the leadership of Tony Litchfield and Anele Jacko. We praise God for these men and the staff there who took such good care of our team and who are working so hard with great devotion to Kingdom building and Kingdom life to serve so many and to see God’s Kingdom and glory expand on this earth. We thank God for them.

We thank God too for the many pastors and leaders we are working with to bring discipleship, mentoring and disciple making training here next year. I will update you on that as time goes by but we thank God for pastor Steve McCoy from 360 degree church in Sarasota, Florida, USA for making himself and his discipleship materials (www.smallcircle.com) available to our brothers and sisters here in South Africa next year. I have put together a team to work on this and thank my brother and friend Chris Biegnaar for making himself available to lead this  team. We are already working on the plans and are mobilizing key persons who are committed to discipleship, mentoring and disciple making and who are doing it already. These are the persons Steve and I want to train next year, as God leads us!

Please keep them and so many others in your prayers. And keep us in RENEWED Ministries and the teams we are working on for Africa Missions 2020 in your prayers as well. We need God’s favour every step of the way and the leading of His Holy Spirit!

God has sent us to the nations and we are committed to going as He leads us and provides for us! What a mighty and awesome God we serve. How marvelous are His ways. He opens doors no one can shut and shut those that no one can open. We are truly blessed to be in His service in various parts of the world.

Thank you for partnering with us in prayer and in financial support. We praise God for each of you as you are vital to this ministry and God has raised you up for such a time as this.

We need your ongoing support so please be reminded that you can give via PayPal on our website: www.renewed-ministries.org or by sending a check/cheque to RENEWED Ministries, P.O. Box 1229, Mishawaka, Indiana, USA 46546.

Thanks so much for your love. I deeply appreciate you and thank God for you. God ever be with you and your family and loved ones. Shalom Aleichem!

Always in His grip,
Courtney.
