Important Information!

Good Day Everyone,
In a meeting of the Council on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, concerning the on-going COVID-19 issues, it was decided that Grace Missionary Church (GMC) will cease all face to face activities (Sunday Worship services, Family Bible Hour, Wednesday Bible Studies and Youth and Children’s Ministries) for the next fourteen (14) days, ending on April 2, 2020. This is in keeping with the COVID-19 protocols instituted by the Ministry of Health and Wellness as well as a recent directive from Rev. Jacob McLean, President of the Missionary Church Association in Jamaica (MCAJ).

To enhance your worship experience during this period, sermons and Bible Study notes will be recorded and uploaded to http://gmc-mca.org, the church’s website. You are encouraged to visit these sites to listen to the resources there. Anyone who has difficulty with access, is encouraged to make contact with a Council member for help.

In addition, you may wish to tune in to the weekly Grace Hour Programme sponsored by the Missionary Church Association in Jamaica, each Sunday at 7:15 a.m. on Radio Jamaica.

Family News and Notices
Family News and notices will be shared by way of the social media platforms currently utilized by GMC, as well as on our Announcements page. These include emails and the What’s App groups used by the various GMC auxiliary groups (Men’s Fellowship; Women’s Fellowship; Birthday Groups; Sanctuary Choir, etc.)

The Church Office numbers ( 876-969-0413; 876-924-1576 and 876-925-3214) remain accessible during regular office hours. Our Elders and Deacons, together with Prayer Coordinator Deacon Arlene Burton and her Team, stand ready to provide counsel and prayer as needed. Sister Dawn Ashley, Social Support Officer, can also be reached through the Church Office.

We encourage congregants to observe the recommended hygiene and social distancing protocols as we rely on our Saviour’s mercy and grace to see us through this time of adversity. Let each of us be consistent in prayer and reach out to the vulnerable with any support and assistance that we can safely provide. Elders and Deacons will remain in constant touch with each member, through the Cross-care system, to ensure that all our members and their families are doing well.

Your Church Council will review the current approach and provide continuous updates and news as events unfold.
