NEWS PRAYER AND SUPPORT UPDATE!
This is the RENEWED Ministries update for 3 June, as provided by Reverend Courtney Richards.
Hello friends and prayer partners. Greetings in the wonderful name of our loving Lord Jesus Christ. I trust and pray that all is well with you in the Lord and that you continue to follow Jesus and to imitate His life and teachings so that others can see Christ in you and follow Him too.
You have not heard from me in a while! My apologies for that but I have not been well and consequently have been put on rest which is working wonderfully in restoring my health. I am mostly back to normal now, but still getting some much-needed rest officially until late July. Praise the Lord and thanks for your prayers for me. I truly appreciate it.
I have something wonderful to share with you!!! I have a trip planned for Asia in September and October for Japan, South Korea and Indonesia. The trip to South Korea is to attend the Lausanne 4 Congress (L4) on world evangelization, discipleship and missions that is hosted by the Lausanne Movement. Five thousand of us pastors and leaders of churches and ministries will gather in Seoul, South Korea, September 22-28, 2024, with another 5000 scheduled to be online. We will focus much of our attention on the key document that was researched and prepared for this congress: The State of the Great Commission Report. As the document itself says, “This key document in the Lausanne 4 journey shares insights from more than 150 global mission experts and sheds light on how we as a global church can be obedient to Jesus’ Great Commission today.” Further, “The State of the Great Commission brings together the best global data and key strategic thinkers to understand where the greatest gaps and opportunities are for the Great Commission fulfilment.”
This is HUGE! I am excited to be one of the 5000 invitees. I look forward to the various sessions as we dissect this report and other presentations and listen to God for His guidance on how to lead His people to fulfil the Great Commission today and tomorrow, all over the world, for His Kingdom and glory.
Please pray for and with all of us who are part of the Lausanne 4 Congress and that much will be accomplished in Seoul and in the various regions and countries of the world for years to come, for the expansion of God’s Kingdom and the glory of His name. Pray that God will meet every need of every invitee and those who are planning the Congress so that we all will get there. Pray for our safety too. And pray for a mighty and lasting move of God’s Spirit among us. Oh how we NEED God’s outpouring of His Spirit today!!
