Streams of Prayer for 15 September 2025
The Streams of Prayer for September 15, 2025, is a circular from the Wycliffe Global Alliance. Wycliffe Caribbean makes this available.

Leadership
One way the Wycliffe Global Alliance serves Bible translation movements is by nurturing current and future leaders. Through forums, coaching, mentoring and encouragement, we provide them opportunities to learn and grow as servant leaders. Leaders need our support and prayers to discern how God is leading their organisations in times of great change.
Each Alliance organisation needs godly men and women to lead and discern in how to engage with God, with the church, and with partner organisations in the Bible translation movement. Thank the Lord for all who have courageously led in the past year. Pray for those being trained and prepared for leadership, and for those transitioning into and out of leadership roles. May each leader, leadership team and board know the equipping, anointing and gifting of the Holy Spirit.

Alliance change in leadership: Asia, Pacific
Praise God for Tony Chan’s leadership and faithful service to the Alliance for over 20 years. He will officially retire at the end of September and is handing over duties to Susan Gwee and Stanley Chan, both assisting the Asia-Pacific Area team on a part-time basis. Pray for a good handover. Pray that the Lord will lead the right person to take over Tony’s role full-time or give wisdom to the team if a reconfiguration of duties is needed.
Wisdom and vision: Czech Republic

Wycliffe Czech Republic gives thanks for their board and directors. Pray for wisdom and God’s guidance in all the steps and decisions these leaders make. Ask God also to inspire them with new ideas and vision to further the work of Wycliffe Czech Republic’s involvement in Bible translation ministry.
Planning for future leadership: Ethiopia
In the context of Wycliffe Ethiopia, effective Bible translation relies on strong, diverse and servant-hearted leadership. This work is more than just a job; it is also a spiritual calling. Each role contributes to ensuring that God’s Word is accurate, clear and embraced by the community. Wycliffe Ethiopia works to address ongoing needs such as training local leaders, planning for future leadership, building strong relationships with churches and the government, and equipping both spiritual and technical workers. Despite facing challenges such as language barriers, limited resources, team dynamics and differences among churches, the organisation is dedicated to helping leaders grow through training, mentoring and learning from one another. Pray that everyone in Wycliffe Ethiopia may follow Jesus’ example by leading with humility, honesty and love. Ask God to grant wisdom to collaborate effectively with churches from diverse backgrounds in order to foster unity and trust.
Strengthening leadership: Paraguay

LETRA Paraguay seeks to follow God in strengthening its leadership, which has been growing in line with the needs of the ministry. The goal is to empower each area leader to continue developing their work with ownership, excellence and for the glory of God. This year, LETRA Paraguay has benefited from the valuable collaboration of volunteers from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico and Paraguay, who have joined the organisation’s vision to serve in the long and short term, full-time and part-time, but all with the same passion for God’s mission and Bible translation. Pray for each area leader for:
- Wisdom and God’s guidance in every decision they make in their areas of responsibility.
- Unity and brotherly love, to work as a team, reflecting the character of Christ.
- Provision and comprehensive care (emotional, family and financial), so that they can serve without burdens that wear them down.
- Provision in the finances, especially for new workers: the Henríquez family from Chile, with three children.

National Bible translation and Scripture use roundtable facilitators: Americas
Praise God for the Bible translation roundtable (Mesa) orientation that took place in Bogotá, Colombia, in August for facilitators from 15 Latin American countries. Participants engaged in interactive activities regarding values and culture of the Mesas and how to encourage collaboration and unity among partners in each country’s Bible translation movement.
- Pray for guidance for more than 40 roundtable facilitators serving Bible translation movements in their countries. Pray for each facilitation team as they prayerfully evaluate progress and seek to address challenges, as well as set goals for the future.
- Pray that these facilitators hear clearly from God as they seek his wisdom for nurturing relationships, collaboration and unity across organisations and denominations, on behalf of communities in Latin America and around the world, that need access to Scripture in the languages they understand best.

Prayer for director: Indonesia
Yayasan Kaleb Yosua (YKY) requests prayer for Ronna Karasih, YKY’s director. Pray for:
- Good health, strength, and sustained energy amid her responsibilities
- Wisdom and clarity in decision-making
- God’s peace and guidance in both leadership and personal life.
Current and future leaders: Bangladesh
Connections asks for prayer for the following:
- Future leadership. God’s guidance to find a director for Connections who will lead the organisation with wisdom, vision and humility
- Upcoming board meeting. That this would be a time of unity, fruitful discussion and Spirit-led decisions that align with God’s direction for the organisation
- Next-Gen missional leaders. Staff members are investing in the lives of seven young people over a six-month journey to develop them as Next-Gen missional leaders. Pray that each one experiences deep personal and spiritual transformation during this time, and is equipped to live out their calling with boldness and faith.
