Brothers, Sisters and Friends, we are hoping that you are well but if not, please let us know by sending your prayer requests

About a month ago the Lord showed me that I should take some younger persons alongside me in providing encouragement and prayer. Two of our young people agreed to do so on the third weekend of each month, for now. The first person is Anjesh Zodge. Anjesh is 11 years of age.  He is a high school student and a member of Grace Youth Ministries. Please read, meditate and feel free to give a response, as you have been doing.

Strength in Hard Times

Due to unfortunate recent events such as the infamous COVID-19 pandemic, and the death toll in relation to accidents, volcanic eruptions in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (a country within our region), the dramatic increase in crime rate and sudden crime target towards women, and many other dilemmas, many people have been left jobless, homeless, and a majority of us with over the top stress.

Just ensure that you do not let it get to you. Simply stay calm, and continue to remember that God is with you. He is your strength and your shield. He is the Alpha and the Omega. God has been in existence way before the beginning of time. These ‘sudden’ problems within our society took Him by no surprise. For our omniscient God knows the future and would have already designed a plan to deliver us from our current crises.

Brothers and Sisters, never forget the fact that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13). As stated in 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV) “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” God’s grace is sufficient and His power is perfected in our weakness! Avoid focusing on the enemy and his plans of pain, stress, and all things bad. However, focus on the great joy and comfort our Lord brings to us.

Let us pray

Dear Righteous and Almighty Father, we come to You today in deep reverence and prayer. We thank You for taking us through each day. Lord, we praise and honour You. In the name of Jesus Christ, Father, we pray that You will come into our hearts and forgive us of our sins. Guide us away from all wrongdoing.

Lord, we ask for Your strength. We are pushing through some of the hardest times we have ever faced before. So we pray that You will flood us with Your strength, protection and joy right now and forevermore.

Lord, we pray that this raging storm known as COVID-19 which was sent by the enemy himself will be calmed, as You calmed the stormy Sea of Galilee when on that boat with Your disciples. We pray for the people of our country that we will all play our part in keeping everyone safe by following all protocol. We also ask that You will touch those who are sick or unwell. You truly are the Doctor of all doctors. So we ask that You will touch them and heal them instantly dear God. We also pray that You will rest with the government and leaders of countries. Show them the right decisions to make and the right choices of what to put into action for the people.

Lord, with Your abiding grace we will go about our days assured that Your peace and understanding will guide us and protect us. So please cover us from the crowns of our heads to the soles of our feet, in the powerful Name of Jesus we pray with thanksgiving.

Amen
