RENEWED Ministries Update – 9 April 2023

This is the RENEWED Ministries update for 9 April 2023, as provided by Reverend Courtney Richards.

If anyone sins and does what is forbidden in any of the LORD’s commands, even though they do not know it, they are guilty and will be held responsible.

Hello friends and prayer partners. Jesus Christ is RISEN. He’s RISEN indeed. Hallelujah 🙌🏾🙌🏾

Our ministry in Nepal ended yesterday, Saturday, which is the traditional day of rest here. It has been a wonderful God-blessed time: encouraging pastors at a lunch we hosted for them; leading three days of youth leadership and discipleship training with 55 young people which was very well received and transformative for many of them; ministering to orphans at the orphanage that the church runs: preaching in church; meeting with my Nepalese mentees etc. It has been a great time instructing, challenging and inspiring God’s people by His grace. They were so grateful we came.

I was particularly blessed yesterday when the worship leader, a young man who I had met when he was an infant years ago when I first came here, but now I couldn’t remember him, came up to me and said, “Do you remember me?” I looked quizzically at him and said, “No!” He said, “When you first came here in 2005, I was a little boy and an orphan in the orphanage and you picked me up, held me in your arms and blessed me. Now, look at me!!” Eighteen years later, he has left the orphanage, has become a man with a career and faithfully leads worship in the church that runs the orphanage where I first met him. WHAT A GOD!!! Hallelujah!!! That’s what MISSIONS is all about – seeing lives transformed for the Kingdom and glory of God!

God willing, we leave tomorrow, Monday, April 10th for Doha, Qatar, en route to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania arriving on Tuesday. Please pray for God’s safekeeping on pastor Altidor and me as we travel; for good health, some much-needed rest, and for Spirit-anointed, illuminating and transformational ministry in Tanzania in the lives of those we will train.

Thanks and God richly bless you for your prayers and support.

Coram Deo,
Always in God’s grip,
